First digital photo assignment : Yellow

This is my first digital photo assignment, which I inspired from July 09 issue of Digital Camera Magazine. I have been looking for yellow object to photograph but just didn’t manage to find the time and opportunity to do it.

However when I notice the color of a building while visiting Kuantan last week, just can’t resist and took a few short of it.

Outstanding building amount the rest, with vibrant color

Another common mistake newbie photographers do

Another common mistake newbie photographers usually do is not spending enough time understand and reading the operation manual of their equipment. Digital camera can be very user friendly, but all camera of difference model have its own characteristic and advantage. Reading the operation manual will give better insight on what the camera can do and employ necessary techniques to obtain best possible results.

This is vitally important if you are using a DSLR. DSLR have the capability to fully tweak the settings and parameter. If the function of the camera is not fully understand, it will be difficult for the photographer to fully utilize the camera for better picture taking.

By the end of the day, they may just blame on the equipment itself for not being better in taking good photos.

Therefore it is much encourage that sufficient time be spent to read the manual and understand every function clearly. Check out those functions and see how it affects your photos. You will be very surprise how much improvement you can find just by tweaking some of this setting.
